Scholarships for Family Members

Adjuncts United established its Scholarship Fund in 2014 to help members and their families cope with ever-increasing college costs. It’s ironic – and depressing – that many AU members who dedicate much or all of their lives to higher education, cannot easily assist their own family members to pay for college. While AU knows we cannot meaningfully cover tuition, room, and board for students, we are happy to offer up to four $500 scholarships a year to help children, grandchildren, and siblings of AU members to pay for books, computers, travel, or any other college-related expenses. In this way, we show our appreciation to our members and encourage our next generation. All students who compete for this prize must write a short essay demonstrating knowledge of the role of unions.
